This helps disguise what you are doing because when you flip a play, no one moves and the audible animation is different. There are only 3 formations that I know of that are flippable. 2 of those 3 are in singleback. They are the singleback deuce, and singleback doubles close. The duece is propably the best singleback formation to run with because of the flipability.
